Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was released from Kirikiri Correctional Centre today, Monday, August 5, 2024, after serving a six-month sentence for naira abuse.

Bobrisky, a well-known Nigerian social media personality, was convicted earlier this year for spraying currency at social events, a violation of the Central Bank Act. The incident, which took place during a lavish party, led to widespread media attention and subsequent legal action.

Upon his release, Bobrisky was greeted by a crowd of supporters and media personnel outside the correctional facility. He expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support during his incarceration.

His lawyer, who was present at the release, confirmed that Bobrisky had completed his sentence and emphasized the importance of adhering to legal regulations concerning currency handling.
