In a preview of his upcoming track “Empty Chairs” from his seventh studio album, No Sign Of Weakness, Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy (Damini Ogulu) reflects on the challenges faced by wealthy Nigerians who achieve success without engaging in politics.

In the snippet shared on X, Burna Boy asserts that those who amass wealth outside the political sphere often become targets in a flawed society. He also notes a shift in his adversaries’ tactics, revealing that his critics have moved from physical confrontations to online attacks.

“If you’re not a politician and you manage to get rich, they’ll turn you into a victim of society,” he sings. “My enemies are no longer on the streets but now they’re on the internet and blogs,” he added, capturing the sentiment of his lyrics.
