Ashleigh Plumptre has talked up Super Falcons’ display in the defeat to Spain , Abuja City Journal reports.

The Super Falcons lost their second game at the 2024 Olympic Games, going down 1-0 to the world champions in Nantes on Sunday night.
Waldrum’s side put up a resolute display in the keenly contested encounter.

Alexia Putellas scored the winning goal from a superb free-kick in the closing stages of the game.
The Super Falcons were let down by their poor marksmanship with Rasheedat Ajibade and Chiwendu Ihezuo wasting good chances in the game.

Plumptre, who missed out of the Olympics due to injury praised her teammates for their performance.

Randy Waldrum’s side will take on Japan in their last group game on Wednesday.
