The South African music community is in mourning following the tragic death of renowned rapper Malome Vector in a car accident. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Free State while Vector was traveling with fellow musicians Puleng Phoofolo and Lizwi Wokuqala.
Ambitiouz Entertainment, Vector’s former record label, confirmed the devastating news in a statement released that evening. The Free State Department of Health reported that “three men were declared dead at the scene of the accident on the N1 highway near the Koppies turn-off close to Kroonstad.” Two additional individuals were transported to Boitumelo Regional Hospital with injuries sustained in the crash.
The loss of Malome Vector, a celebrated artist known for his impactful contributions to the South African music scene, has been met with widespread grief. Ambitiouz Entertainment expressed their profound sorrow, stating: “With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of a shining beacon; the Lion of Lesotho’s sun has set.
