Pop sensation and actress Olivia Rodrigo has added her voice to the growing list of celebrities endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency, following President Joe Biden’s decision to step down as the Democratic Party’s candidate.
In a recent Instagram post, Rodrigo shared a video from Harris’s first campaign rally, where the Vice President vowed to restore reproductive rights. The post was accompanied by enthusiastic cheering emojis, reflecting Rodrigo’s support for Harris’s campaign.
Katy Perry, another prominent figure, has also thrown her support behind Harris. Perry posted an edited video featuring Harris set to her empowering anthem, “Woman’s World.” The accompanying lyrics, “It’s a woman’s world and you’re lucky to be living in it,” underscore Perry’s endorsement and celebration of Harris’s candidacy.
The wave of endorsements continues with Tina Knowles, mother of superstar Beyoncé, who publicly supported Harris shortly after Biden’s announcement. Knowles’s endorsement highlights the broad backing Harris is receiving from influential figures in the entertainment industry.
In a notable gesture of support, Beyoncé herself has granted Kamala Harris permission to use her song “Freedom” in the campaign. Harris prominently featured the track during her first official visit to her campaign headquarters on Monday, further cementing the strong ties between the Harris campaign and the entertainment community.
