A 32-year-old man, Marcus Jabhet, has been arraigned by the police on Tuesday before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing an aluminium panel valued at N500,000.
Jabhet, whose address was not given, was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he, however, pleaded not guilty.
Inspector Musbau Lawal, the Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Sunday at about 8.30 a.m. at Onireke, Eleyele area of Ibadan.
Mr Lawal said that the defendant and others conspired to steal the aluminium panel belonging to Coop Property Development Company, Ibadan.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Olaolu Olanipekun, the Magistrate, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N150,000, with two reliable sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned until August 19 for hearing.
