The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are now ready for printing. This announcement was made by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Relations, who stated that from Monday, July 22, 2024, candidates can print their result slips from approved computer-based test (CBT) centers.
The new result slips are designed with enhanced security features and include the applicants’ photographs. This initiative aims to provide a secure and verifiable record of each candidate’s performance. Dr. Benjamin emphasized that these slips cannot be printed from cyber cafés or other internet-enabled platforms, reinforcing the importance of using official and recognized printing channels.
In light of previous attempts to exploit the UTME result printing process, JAMB has urged candidates to be vigilant. “To avoid falling victim to fraudulent activities, such as attempted score inflation, candidates should ensure that they use only recognized and approved printing services,” Dr. Benjamin advised.
This new measure comes after a delay in the release of the 2024 UTME result slips. The physical copy of the result slips is intended to serve as a secure document, complementing the scores previously released via the Board’s sort codes. This approach ensures that the results are both authentic and tamper-proof.
JAMB’s focus on enhancing the security of result slips aligns with its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process. Candidates are encouraged to collect their result slips promptly and report any irregularities or issues to the nearest JAMB office or approved CBT center.
