Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson has initiated legal proceedings against the anonymous blogger Gistlover for spreading false and defamatory allegations about her. The blogger had claimed that Egbuson was romantically involved with a prominent politician, specifically Senate President Godwin Akpabio.
In response to these damaging claims, Dakore Egbuson initially addressed the rumors in a video, vehemently denying any such relationship. She emphasized her commitment to her marriage and clarified that she has never met Senate President Akpabio in any context. Despite her public denial, the allegations continued to circulate, prompting her to take more formal action.
Egbuson has filed a cease and desist lawsuit through her legal representatives at Olisa Agbakoba Legal. The lawsuit demands the immediate removal of the defamatory posts from the media company’s platform and seeks to prevent further dissemination of the false information. Egbuson’s legal team has warned that failure to comply with their demands will result in additional legal action.
