The Labour Party (LP) has expressed profound sadness over the death of Ekene Adams, a federal lawmaker representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State. Adams passed away on Tuesday morning.

In a statement issued by Obiora Ifoh, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, LP National Chairman Barrister Julius Abure described Adams as a “star lawmaker.” Abure highlighted Adams’ role as Chairman of the House Committee on Sports and noted his invaluable contributions both in the National Assembly and within the Labour Party.

Abure’s statement read, “On the floor of the National Assembly, he was a notable voice and had defended the voiceless through his motions. He also offered great advice to me in party affairs.”

The Labour Party extends its condolences to Adams’ immediate family, the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, the Kaduna State government, and the nation. They pray for the strength to bear this loss and for Adams’ soul to rest in peace.
