Nigerian singer 2Baba has insinuated that the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump was staged. Reports indicate that Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt at a presidential rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The FBI identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the suspect involved in the attempt.
Despite confirmations from security agencies, 2Baba, whose real name is Innocent Idibia, expressed skepticism, describing the incident as a “pure package.” He suggested that Trump was acting, comparing him to Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett, who was previously involved in a staged attack. On his Instagram account, 2Baba wrote, “Jessie Smallet dey learn. I go shock if I wrong but this sh*t na pure package. All black everything. Hollywood dey learn.”
Veteran singer Charly Boy, stylist Toyin Lawani, and American actress Amanda Seales, among others, have also expressed doubts about the authenticity of the assassination attempt on Trump.
