Controversial actor and preacher Yul Edochie has clarified his connection to movie producer Henry Odenigbo amidst reports linking Odenigbo to a criminal kidnapping gang. The allegations arose after photos of Odenigbo were shared by filmmaker Stanley Nwoko, suggesting his involvement in criminal activities and subsequent death in a police shootout in Lagos.

Reacting to these reports on Instagram, Edochie denied any close association with Odenigbo, emphasizing that their interaction was limited to a professional setting. He explained that they met on the set of a movie in June, where Odenigbo introduced himself as part of Ason-Rich Movie Production and expressed admiration for Edochie’s work.

“I only saw this guy once when I shot a movie for him a few weeks ago,” Edochie clarified. “He came to me, introduced himself as Ason-Rich Productions, and said his name was Henry.”

Edochie further detailed that after filming concluded, Odenigbo requested a photo together, which Edochie agreed to as a courtesy. This encounter, he stressed, was the extent of their interaction, dispelling rumors of any personal friendship or ongoing association.

“That was the first time I saw him, and I never saw him again,” Edochie affirmed. He expressed dismay over the circulation of their photo together, clarifying that he knew Odenigbo solely in his capacity as a producer on a single movie project.

As the story gained traction on social media, Edochie sought to set the record straight, underscoring that his relationship with Odenigbo was purely professional and limited to their brief collaboration on a film set.
