Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a prominent Nigerian e-commerce platform, tragically committed suicide in his Lekki, Lagos apartment on Tuesday, June 25. At the time of his death, Imudia was the CEO of D.light, a leading company in residential solar energy solutions and household products.

On the night of his death, Imudia called his US-based brother to provide instructions on distributing his wealth in case anything happened to him. He also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be there for her and that she only needed to look at the sky to see him.

The reasons behind his suicide remain unclear, leaving friends, family, and associates in shock. Imudia hailed from the Ika South local government area of Delta State. He was previously married to the mother of his daughter, but the marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences. He later remarried a Caucasian woman, and those close to him believed he had found happiness.

Before his tenure at Konga, Imudia held significant roles at TCL/Alcatel as a regional director and at Microsoft Device and Services as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa.
