Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly rejected Manchester United’s opening bid for defensive midfielder, Manuel Ugarte.
United are looking to sign midfielders in this summer transfer window, and the club is now evaluating a number of players.
The Red Devils’ top priority is to add a defender their squad, but they’re also working hard to complete the signing of Bologna striker, Joshua Zirkzee, this summer.
United are still keen to acquire a combative midfielder, though, and they are interested in signing Ugarte.
Manchester United have put in a bid for Ugarte and are serious about landing him.
Although the opening bid has not yet been revealed, PSG have immediately turned down the offer because they believe it is too little for the Uruguay international.
Despite the fact that the Ligue 1 giants value Ugarte as a player, they are not ruling out more talks.
It is unclear if United will return this summer with a better bid for the Uruguayan star.
Ugarte joined PSG from Portuguese outfit, Sporting Lisbon ahead of the 2023/24 season. The 23-year-old featured in 37 matches and provided three assists for Luis Enrique’s side across all competitions.
