Nigerian singer Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, known as Qing Madi, has attributed her music career to her mother’s encouragement and belief in her abilities. Speaking on the Hip TV program “Trending” with reality star KimOprah, the 17-year-old shared that her mother played a crucial role in identifying her singing talent and pushing her towards a professional career in music.
Qing Madi admitted that while she didn’t initially recognize her own singing abilities, her mother was the one who saw her potential and actively supported her aspirations, even when she herself wasn’t fully committed to pursuing music. Reflecting on her early ambitions, she revealed that she had envisioned various career paths but hadn’t considered becoming an artiste until her mother’s persistent encouragement.
The ‘Adenuga’ singer rose to prominence following the viral success of her 2022 single ‘See Finish’ and its 2023 follow-up ‘Ole,’ featuring BNXN, both of which gained significant traction on TikTok. Her journey underscores the impact of parental support in nurturing young talents in the music industry.
