The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has declared that it would discuss the entrance cut-off marks for tertiary institutions for the 2024–2025 academic year in a Policy Meeting on Friday, July 18, 2024.
The minimal cut-off points for admissions are anticipated to be decided at the conference, which will be presided over by Prof. Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education. This data was revealed in the weekly bulletin from JAMB, which was made public in Abuja on Monday.
The heads of tertiary institutions, representatives from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), and heads of regulatory agencies like the National University Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE) are among the important parties anticipated to attend the meeting.

Reports on the recently completed Direct Entry (DE) applications and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be given by the JAMB Registrar.
Examination of important performance metrics that may have an impact on admissions policy regulations.
Talk about the key points from the admissions process last year.
Evaluation of a candidate’s performance in the most recent UTME to establish the minimal score required for admission.
Along with discussing unsolved concerns from the previous academic year, the meeting will evaluate stakeholder compliance with current advisory and recommend any required changes.
The official start of the admissions process for the 2024–2025 school year will occur during this policy meeting.
