Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, known as Basketmouth, took a swipe at singer Wizkid while praising Davido’s wedding for dominating social media. He remarked that promoting his show would be challenging as all attention is on Davido and Chioma’s wedding.
Basketmouth noted that even Wizkid’s recent social media drama didn’t gain much traction because everyone is focused on the wedding. On Instagram, he wrote: “Davido’s wedding has taken over the social media space. Except you want us to start using Chivido2024 to promote the show. Which I don’t think will work. Because, even Wizkid wey throw shade, nobody send am.”
Wizkid recently caused a stir by tweeting “Lol [lots of laughs]” after Davido released his pre-wedding photos with Chioma and mentioning his prayers for “every understanding woman.” Some fans interpreted this as a jab at Chioma, but Wizkid denied any such intent, stating his tweets were misinterpreted.
