Blaise Felix Aliyu, a 15-year-old orphan enrolled at the Air Force Comprehensive School in Kaduna, met a tragic end allegedly at the hands of two senior students, leading to shock and sorrow within the school community.

Aliyu, who had been under the care of his twin brother since 2013, was reportedly summoned by two SS3 students to their room under the guise of punishment. Sadly, this interaction resulted in his death, and his body has since been placed in the mortuary.

Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), conveyed deep sadness on behalf of the organization regarding the incident. In a statement to Daily Trust, he quoted Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, expressing profound sorrow over the “tragic and untimely death” that occurred on June 19, 2024.

Gabkwet affirmed that a thorough investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Aliyu’s death. He emphasized the importance of conducting a comprehensive inquiry to uncover the true cause and events leading up to the tragedy.

“To prevent any speculation, a comprehensive investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances, reasons, and actual events that led to the victim’s death,” Gabkwet stated. He assured the public that the matter is being treated with utmost urgency and pledged that the NAF would not rest until the investigation is complete and justice is served.
