Nigerian singer Odumodublvck has praised fellow artists Ayra Starr and Tems for their remarkable achievements in the music industry, particularly highlighting the unique challenges they face as female artists.

In a recent interview with Madam Joyce on her podcast, Odumodublvck shared an anecdote about seeing Tems on a flight to London and acknowledged the success of both artists. He stated, “What you and Ayra Starr have done is bigger than anything Wizkid has done or what Burna Boy has done. Quote me anywhere.”

He elaborated on the difficulties female artists encounter, noting that they often face sexual advances from producers, show promoters, and fellow artists. “It is bigger than anything Fela has done because as a female artist out of every 10 show promoters, five want to have sex with you. Out of 10 producers, five want to fuck you and out of 10 artists you look up to or the people you want to help you, they want to knack you,” he explained.

Odumodublvck expressed deep admiration for Ayra Starr and Tems for thriving despite these obstacles. “I can’t imagine being a babe and being in that situation. So imagine after dodging all those things, you still made good music,” he said.

He emphasized the challenges of being a female artist, likening it to holding two of the hardest jobs in the world. “The number one hardest job in this world is being a woman, that’s the hardest job ever. Then the second one is being an artist… It took me five or six years to get my first good check so imagine now being a babe and being an artist and you make it.”

Odumodublvck concluded by applauding the female singers for their perseverance and success in the industry.
