The Edo State Police Command has apprehended Akpasa Ustin Iniosa, also known as Prada, for the murder of Samuel Aigbedion Osagie, a member of the Edo State Security Network (ESSN).
Commissioner of Police Funsho Adebgoye disclosed that Osagie was killed on April 29, 2024, at Oza Street, off Sokponba Road, in Benin City. The murder was captured on CCTV, which helped identify the perpetrators.
The Anti-Kidnapping and Cybercrime Unit of the Command arrested the suspect using technical intelligence. Iniosa, who has confessed to the crime, is aiding further investigations.
Recovered items from the suspect include seven live ammunition, one live cartridge, a blue Beretta pistol, a Tecno phone, and a First Bank ATM card. The suspect will be charged to court soon.
