The social media feud between controversial singer Portable and his colleague Davido has intensified. Portable recently responded to Davido unfollowing him on Instagram, asserting that he can achieve success and win a Grammy without Davido’s assistance.
The conflict started after a dinner in the United States, where Portable accused Davido of giving him bad advice. According to Portable, Davido, who is signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining the same label and suggested he sign with Empire instead. Portable believed this advice could hinder his Grammy ambitions.
Following his public outburst, Davido unfollowed Portable on Instagram on Thursday. In reaction, Portable claimed he doesn’t need Davido’s followership or assistance to succeed or win a Grammy. He suggested that Davido unfollowed him because he stopped being beneficial to him.
In a video message shared on his Instagram page, Portable said, “They tried to destroy me and quickly unfollowed me because I stopped being beneficial to them. Whether you help me or not, I will do my tour; whether you follow me or not, I will collect Grammy.”
