A transformer vandal identified as Yusuf Adamu has been arraigned by the Operatives of the Osun State Police Command.
The Osun Command Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola disclosed the information on Thursday, He said that the suspect, Adamu was apprehended on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at about 11:45pm.
According to her: “The incident happened on 02/06/2024 at about 11:45pm. Information was received by operatives of Police Divisional Headquarters ‘B’ Division Ede that a young man later identified as Yusuf Adamu who hails from Kebbi State was seen moving at night with electricity transformer’s cable which was suspected to have been removed from a transformer.
“Upon receipt of this information, a team of operatives swung into action and arrested the said suspect who was still in possession of the exhibit.
“He has confessed to the crime. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing.”
She also said that the case will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
