The British Council and Cambridge Assessment International Education have recognized Adedigba Temilola, a student from Caleb British International School, for achieving the highest score in Nigeria in Sociology for the 2023 International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). This accolade is part of the annual Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards (OCLA) and British Council Recognition, which aim to celebrate exceptional Nigerian students who excel in Cambridge exams.
Abimbola Olulesi, the head of public relations at Caleb Group of Schools, confirmed that Temilola’s achievement has been acknowledged by both the British Council and Cambridge Assessment International Education. The award ceremony, scheduled to take place in July at Lagos’s Civic Center, will honor top achievers not only from Nigeria but also from around the globe.
Mrs. Omoluabi-Okechukwu, the principal of Caleb British International School, attributed Temilola’s success to the school’s curriculum, which integrates elements from both the British and Nigerian education systems. She emphasized that Caleb British International School is committed to academic excellence, moral instruction, and character development.
