The owner of a school in Abuja has taken action after a recent attack by a furious parent who beat a teacher and a nursing mother over his child’s disciplinary activities.
Last week, an angry parent stormed into Aces Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School in Area 2, Garki, Abuja, attacking a teacher and a nursing mother. This incident, which occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, caused pandemonium and had a significant impact on the school community.
Instructor Sekinat Adedeji described the terrifying experience of being beaten by Muhammad Jimeta, the student’s father, while she was holding her three-month-old child. Adedeji recounted, “The father slapped me four times. His daughter reported what happened at 12:30 pm to him at the close of school when he came to pick her up. The child is not serious with her studies and insults teachers who come to the class.”
Another parent present at the time, Magdalene Ukuedojor, noted that the female student had a history of mocking others. Ukuedojor emphasized that Jimeta had no right to physically attack his child’s teacher or a nursing mother.
Jimeta quickly responded to the accusations, claiming that the teacher had been mistreating his daughter.
Alhaji Aminu Kani, the proprietor of the school, addressed the incident by stating that he was out of town due to a bereavement, as reported by The Guardian. Upon his return, Kani promised a full investigation into the situation and revealed that the student had been suspended.
