Mogaji Ibrahim-Olaniyan, the National Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), has launched a strategic cooperation with local hunters and vigilante groups in a coordinated effort to improve security and eliminate criminal activities in Kogi State. This effort seeks to develop a formidable partnership focused on community safety and crime prevention.

During a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, Ibrahim-Olaniyan highlighted the recent inauguration of zonal and state executives of the PCRC in Kogi State. He expressed confidence that the newly elected leaders would play a crucial role in eradicating crime in the region.

“The new executive team of PCRC in Kogi State is poised to leave no sanctuary for criminals,” Ibrahim-Olaniyan stated. “Our collaboration with local hunters and vigilante groups will ensure a comprehensive approach to flushing out criminal elements.”

He lauded the election process that led to the appointment of Mr. Aron Ali as the Kogi State Chairman of the PCRC, describing it as transparent and democratic. The chairman emphasized that with the new leadership, Kogi’s PCRC is expected to rival the efficiency of PCRC branches in major states such as Kano, Lagos, Ogun, and Kwara, given Kogi’s significant potential.

Ibrahim-Olaniyan is optimistic that the new executive team, supported by zonal and state officials, will form a robust alliance with the police and other security agencies. “Our PCRC members are excelling across various divisions, contributing valuable information to support police operations,” he noted.

He urged the new leadership to foster strong relationships among all security stakeholders in Kogi State, stressing the importance of a united front in achieving their security objectives. Ibrahim-Olaniyan also commended Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State and the state’s security agencies for their unwavering dedication to protecting lives and property.
