Controversial singer, comedian, and content creator Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington or Akpi, has expressed his frustration with his village people for taking down a signboard he erected to aid his search for a wife.
Speed Darlington had recently shared a video showcasing the signboard, which featured his picture along with the requirements for his would-be wife and what he has to offer. However, in a new viral video, he lamented the removal of the signboard, insisting he had serious intentions of settling down.
Speaking in Igbo, Speed Darlington expressed his displeasure, saying, “I don’t understand why you people removed the banner. I had a very severe reason for mounting it. All of you (the people who removed the banner) have women you are sleeping with. Allow me to find my own wife. If I want to sleep with a woman anytime, I am always paying for it. You people had the guts to step into my land and remove what I mounted—that is jealousy.”
The singer, who appeared earnest about his search for a wife, criticized the villagers for their actions, suggesting their behavior was driven by jealousy.
