Nigerian street hop sensation Portable has called out rapper Vector after misinterpreting the latter’s lyrics as a diss targeted at him.

On June 5, 2024, Portable, also known as Zazzu, took to Instagram Live to express his anger at Vector, whom he claimed dissed him in a recent song with the line “Lion King no be Zazu.”

During the Instagram Live session, Portable asserted that he is a bigger star than Vector and stated that the rapper needs a chorus from him to score a hit song.

However, Portable’s anger is misplaced as the “Zazu” Vector referred to is actually Zazu, the bird from the 1994 Disney animation movie ‘The Lion King,’ rather than Portable.

Portable’s shots at Vector are not surprising to many, given his history of news-making antics. Earlier this year, the street pop sensation was in the spotlight after a public spat with Nigerian socialite and cross-dresser Bobrisky, whom he criticized for winning the Best Dressed Woman at a movie premiere.

Portable was also recently in the news after being captured jumping a fence to evade arrest by the Nigerian Police over the unpaid balance of his G Wagon Brabus.

Despite his many legal troubles and public controversies, Portable continues to enjoy success as an artist, as evidenced by his recent hit collaboration ‘Tony Montana’ with Skepta.
