President Bola Tinubu has officially renamed the Arterial Road N20, stretching from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX), as Professor Wole Soyinka Highway. This decision follows a recommendation by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) administration.
The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a tweet posted on Tuesday.
President Tinubu stressed the significance of this honor, coinciding with Soyinka’s upcoming 90th birthday on July 13. He praised the renowned playwright, poet, and novelist, emphasizing that Wole Soyinka was the first African to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tinubu noted that Soyinka’s achievements have brought great honor and fame to Nigeria.
