The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command’s new controller of corrections, Usman Ibrahim, officially assumed his duties on Friday in Abuja. Ibrahim succeeds John Francis, who has been reassigned to the Kaduna State Zonal Headquarters.
At the handover ceremony, John Francis expressed gratitude to the command officers for their support during his tenure and urged them to extend the same level of cooperation to Ibrahim. He voiced confidence that Ibrahim would lead the command to new heights.
Ibrahim, in his address, highlighted his commitment to fostering a collaborative working environment aimed at fulfilling the service’s mandate within the FCT.
Having enlisted in the corrections service in 1990, Ibrahim brings extensive experience to his new role, having served in 14 different custodial centers. Prior to this appointment, he was the controller of corrections in charge of operations at the national headquarters.
