Greenville LNG has been honored as Nigeria’s “Most Reliable Domestic Gas Distributing Company of the Year” at the annual transportation awards organized by TransportDay Media. This prestigious accolade highlights Greenville LNG’s significant contributions to the gas infrastructure development, production, and distribution sector in Nigeria.

The award ceremony, a notable event in the transportation industry, took place last Thursday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. The event, marking the tenth anniversary of the TransportDay Lecture and Awards, celebrated excellence in transportation and safety standards in Nigeria. It gathered prominent figures from regulatory bodies and industrial corporations with extensive logistical operations across the country.

Frank Kintum, publisher and editor-in-chief of TransportDay Media Organisation, opened the ceremony with a speech that acknowledged the sector’s resilience and progressive improvements despite operational challenges. His address set the tone for a day of recognition and celebration of industry achievements.

Distinguished attendees included the Corp Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), and the Honourable Commissioner of Transportation in Lagos State. Each presented insightful papers during the lecture session, sharing their expertise and perspectives on the future of transportation safety in Nigeria.

The theme for this year’s event was “Transportation Safety in Nigeria – The Way Forward.” The ceremony recognized several other key players in the industry, including Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Toyota, Nigeria Railway Corporation, Infinity Tyres, and Kaduna Dry Port, among others.

Greenville LNG’s recognition underscores its pivotal role in pioneering and championing LNG and CNG production and distribution within Nigeria’s private sector. The company’s efficient virtual pipeline system, consisting of approximately 600 specialized LNG-powered trucks, enables extensive delivery capabilities across the country without the need for refueling. From its Rumuji Gas Plant and multiple gas hubs, Greenville LNG reliably supplies sustainable LNG and CNG to diverse regions, contributing to cleaner energy solutions.

The company’s strategic infrastructure includes gas stations in Rumuji, Benin, Shagamu, Koton-Karfe, and Kaduna, with new stations soon to be operational in Lafia and Enugu. Greenville LNG’s commitment to establishing 25 hubs aims to provide cost-effective, cleaner, and more dependable energy for homes, industries, and uninterrupted power plants throughout Nigeria.

Greenville LNG’s recognition at the TransportDay Media awards highlights its dedication to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the gas distribution sector, reinforcing its position as a leader in Nigeria’s energy landscape.
