Intel Africa’s AI Summit in Abuja Unveils Game-Changing Incubation Program to Propel Innovation

The recently concluded Intel Africa’s AI and Deeptech Stakeholders Summit in Abuja, co-organized by Afrilabs, marked a pivotal moment in Africa’s tech innovation landscape. Among the standout events was the unveiling of Moolu Venture Lab’s NextechCzar incubation program, which promises to propel Africa to the forefront of AI and deeptech innovation.

Dr. Bienvenu Soglo, Intel’s Director for Africa, set the collaborative tone for the summit, stressing the necessity of united efforts among governments, innovation hubs, startups, and institutions to fully harness AI and deeptech innovations. “Intel is committed to spurring this growth, and we invite all stakeholders to join us in this mission,” Dr. Soglo stated.

Mr. Prince Ogbonna, CEO and Co-founder of Moolu Venture Lab, delivered one of the most anticipated presentations, showcasing the NextechCzar program. He described it as more than an incubation initiative, labeling it a beacon of hope for African AI innovators. “Our commitment is to support groundbreaking technologies and solve socio-economic challenges across the continent,” Ogbonna said.

The summit also featured key insights from the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), who outlined Nigeria’s policies and frameworks designed to support AI growth. He highlighted the establishment of a dedicated AI center as a testament to the government’s commitment to technological advancement.

Representatives from various innovation hubs, including Mr. Ogbonna, reaffirmed their dedication to harnessing the next generation of AI and deeptech talent.
