Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chair of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that the ruling party is undergoing significant strengthening efforts to enable President Bola Tinubu to secure a second term in office.
Ganduje made this announcement on Monday during a policy roundtable event titled “The Asiwaju Scorecard Series,” organized by the APC Professionals Forum at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
In his address, the former Kano governor emphasized that the Tinubu administration is diligently addressing the numerous challenges facing Nigerian citizens. He highlighted that the APC’s National Working Committee is restructuring the party to project the image of a “truly grassroots progressive party.”
“We have directed our state chapters to liaise with their respective governors and other stakeholders to ensure that we have full-fledged, functional offices in every political ward to enable our members across the country to have symbolic representation in their neighborhoods,” Ganduje stated.
Ganduje reaffirmed the party’s commitment to setting new standards in Nigeria’s democratic process and ensuring the continuation of the APC government at all levels. “Even though it is not yet an election period, we are reinvigorating the party to ensure that, come 2027, we will retain and gain new governors, as well as secure another mandate for Mr. President to continue with his government’s policies and programs,” he added.
The roundtable event served as a platform to discuss and evaluate the achievements of the Tinubu administration so far, with a focus on policy initiatives and future plans. Attendees included APC professionals, political analysts, and other stakeholders who engaged in robust discussions on the administration’s progress and areas needing further attention.
