Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State expressed his gratitude towards the community of Eleme during the commissioning of the Aleto-Ogale-Ebubu-Eteo road, also known as Old Bori Road in Eleme Local Government Area of the state.

Fubara acknowledged the pivotal role of Eleme in his personal and professional journey, stating, “My story as a person will not be complete if Eleme is not mentioned, that is the truth. Maybe, if I have not started from Eleme, I will not get to Level 14. At least I started here before I got to Level 14.”

His remarks come in response to comments made by a former Commissioner of Works in the state, Alabo George-Kelly, who highlighted the influence of Minister Nyesom Wike in Fubara’s career trajectory. George-Kelly suggested that without Wike’s support, Fubara would have remained at a lower level in the Ministry of Finance.

Acknowledging the importance of recognizing those who contribute to one’s advancement, George-Kelly emphasized the impact of Wike’s support on Fubara’s professional growth, noting that it enabled him to rise to positions of greater responsibility, including that of governor.

In light of these statements, Fubara’s expression of gratitude to Eleme underscores the significance of local communities in shaping individual success stories.
