Former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has expressed deep sadness over the demise of His Royal Majesty, Elerin of Erin Ile, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II, a highly esteemed First Class Monarch in Kwara State.

 

In a statement, Mohammed highlighted Olusokun’s 41-year reign, during which he dedicated himself to serving humanity and left an enduring impact on those who knew him.

 

Describing Olusokun’s era as the golden age of Erin Ile, Mohammed extended his condolences to the people of Erin Ile, Kwara State, and Nigeria, urging them to find solace in the lasting legacy of the late monarch.

 

He praised Olusokun for his life of service to God and humanity, wishing for his spirit of compassion and wisdom to continue guiding everyone.

 

Mohammed concluded by offering prayers for the eternal repose of Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II and for strength for the people of Erin Ile to bear the loss.
