NLC Pickets BEDC, Highlights Plight of Electricity Workers Facing Harassment in Edo
Organized labor staged a picketing event on Monday at the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), where Comrade Odion Olaye, Chairman of the NLC in Edo State, shed light on the challenges faced by electricity workers.
Speaking during the picketing, Olaye revealed disturbing reports of electricity workers encountering harassment from customers during their visits to residential and commercial buildings to address billing issues.
He lamented the plight of these workers who, in the course of performing their duties, are subjected to mistreatment and hostility by customers dissatisfied with their electricity bills.
