Beauty Tukura, a former Miss Nigeria and participant of Big Brother Naija, celebrated her victory at the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. Tukura proudly claimed the Best Dressed Female Award for the second consecutive year, expressing her determination to maintain her winning streak.
Taking to Instagram to share her excitement, Tukura posted a photo of herself holding the award and declared, “Still Best Dressed 2023/2024… until further notice #AMVCA10.”
Her achievement adds to the accolades garnered by reality star Venita Akpofure, who also clinched the Best Dressed Female award for the second consecutive year at the 10th AMVCA Cultural Day and Opening Night celebration.
In other categories, the film “Breath of Life” emerged as the biggest winner of the night, securing six prestigious awards, including Best Movie, Best Director (BB Sasore), Best Lead Actor (Wale Ojo), Best Supporting Actor (Ademola Adedoyin), Best Supporting Actress (Genoveva Umeh), and Trailblazer (Chimezie Imo).
Despite its record-breaking success at the box office, Funke Akindele’s film “A Tribe Called Judah” failed to secure any awards at the event. Despite being the first Nigerian movie to gross over N1 billion in cinemas, the film was overlooked in all five of its nominations.
