Tragedy struck in Maitama, Abuja, on Friday night as unknown gunmen reportedly shot dead Khalid Bichi, a middle-aged man and employee of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
According to accounts from witnesses relayed by the Guardian, Bichi fell victim to the assailants’ bullets just before 9 pm while he was out to grab food. The attackers struck swiftly, leaving Bichi with multiple gunshot wounds.
In a desperate bid to save his life, Bichi was rushed to Maitama General Hospital. However, despite efforts by medical personnel, he was tragically pronounced dead upon arrival.
