Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s recent criticism of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project has drawn rebuke from the Concerned Nigerian Network in Diaspora (CNND), labeling it as unfounded.

In an interview with journalists in Abuja, the group’s President, James Erebuoye, dismissed Abubakar’s allegations, asserting the baselessness of his claims.

Abubakar had insinuated that the project was initiated due to business ties between President Bola Tinubu and Gilbert Chagoury, owner of the Hitech Construction Company. Erebuoye vehemently refuted these assertions, emphasizing the lack of truth in such allegations.

Speaking further, Erebuoye urged Nigerians to shift their focus towards evaluating the company’s capabilities, integrity, and track record of service delivery, rather than being swayed by speculative narratives.

As the President of the Rebuild Nigeria Movement Worldwide, Erebuoye underscored the importance of considering the credibility and competence of the company, regardless of its ownership.
