Canadian rapper Drake’s Toronto mansion became the focal point of an investigation following a reported overnight shooting in the upscale Bridle Path neighborhood.
The shooting, which occurred near Drake’s property, resulted in one person sustaining serious injuries after being shot in the chest. However, it was confirmed by the Police that the victim is not Drake and has been hospitalized for emergency surgery.
According to Toronto’s City News, the incident took place around 2:09 a.m. ET, prompting police to cordon off the area and launch an investigation into the matter. The suspect, believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle, remains unidentified as of now.
While details regarding the motive behind the shooting are scarce, the incident coincides with the ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Both artists have been releasing diss tracks, sparking speculation about potential connections to the altercation. However, police have not provided any official statements linking the shooting to the feud.
Investigation into the shooting is currently underway, with authorities working to gather more information and apprehend the suspect involved.
