Popular skit maker and musician, Nasboi, has disclosed that he’s facing death threats after speaking out against Wizkid’s recent comments about Don Jazzy.
Nasboi previously criticized Wizkid for mocking Don Jazzy during a social media outburst on the Bahd And Boujee Podcast.
Speaking to Cool FM, Nasboi revealed that he’s been inundated with threats following his remarks on the podcast.
“It seems that once you’re a celebrity, you’re not allowed to have an opinion. But why should a regular person on the street be entitled to an opinion while a celebrity isn’t? If you prefer Wizkid over Davido, that’s fine. So why can’t I, as a celebrity, have the same privilege?” Nasboi questioned.
The threats stemmed from Nasboi’s response to a direct question during the podcast interview about whether Wizkid had offended Don Jazzy with his remarks. Nasboi stated that he believed Wizkid’s comment labeling Don Jazzy as an “influencer” was inappropriate and could be perceived as offensive.
Nasboi expressed concern over the severity of the threats, highlighting one particularly alarming message in his DMs that wished death upon him, reminiscent of his brother’s fate.
The incident underscores the volatile nature of social media discourse and the challenges faced by public figures who voice their opinions on sensitive topics.
