Wofai Ewu, also known as Wofai Fada, celebrated her engagement to Taiwo Olakitan Cole on social media, hinting at an impending wedding. The announcement garnered warm wishes and excitement from fans and well-wishers.
However, the situation took a surprising turn when videos from the couple’s traditional wedding circulated online. In response, the Cole family issued a statement disavowing the union, stating they had no prior knowledge or consent regarding the ceremony.
In the statement signed by Engr Kunle Cole, the family clarified that they did not recognize Wofai as a member of their family and cautioned against any portrayal of such association.
Amidst the controversy, a purported phone call between Taiwo’s father and a friend revealed concerns about the age difference between Wofai and Taiwo, further complicating the situation.
Despite the family’s disapproval, Wofai shared another video on Instagram with Taiwo, seemingly unaffected by the backlash, underlining their commitment to love.
The incident sparked reactions from Nigerians, highlighting the complexities surrounding family dynamics and societal expectations in matters of marriage.
