Nollywood luminary Yul Edochie has posited that Wizkid’s recent tumultuous presence on social media stems from the anguish of losing his mother.
Wizkid’s fiery engagement on social media platforms, particularly with shaded remarks directed at Don Jazzy and a heated exchange with Davido, sparked a wave of reactions online.
In response to these events, Edochie offered insight, attributing Wizkid’s behavior to underlying psychological distress.
In a video message shared on his Instagram page, Edochie conveyed, “Many people would not understand what is happening to Wizkid. But I will tell you, it’s the pain of losing his mother.”
He elaborated, emphasizing the profound impact of maternal loss, suggesting that it engenders a turmoil that can lead to questioning life, recklessness, and even thoughts of self-harm.
Edochie lamented the harsh realities of a world that exacerbates pain rather than offering solace.
It’s worth noting that Wizkid’s mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, in London. Wizkid himself has openly expressed the depth of his sorrow, describing the pain as profound and deeply hurting.
