Nasboi Claims Superiority Over Nigerian Musicians

In a recent episode of the Bahd and Boujee Podcast, Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, popularly known as Nasboi, confidently asserted his superiority over many Nigerian musicians. Renowned for his comedic sketches and forays into music, Nasboi, who made a splash with “Cinderella” featuring Wande Coal in the previous year, expressed unwavering conviction in his musical prowess.

During the podcast, co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, Nasboi boldly stated, “I am better than a lot of musicians out there. I put my life to that sh*t. I’m way better than a lot of musicians. I know it,” showcasing his self-assurance and dedication to his craft.

Addressing his relationships with industry giants Wizkid and Davido, Nasboi revealed his admiration for Davido, whom he holds in high esteem due to their close connection. However, he admitted to a lack of familiarity with Wizkid, stating, “I used to be a Wizkid fan. I loved Wizkid. I love Davido so much because I am close to him. I don’t know Wizkid. I have never seen Wizkid in my life.”

Singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has come under heavy criticism for using Nickie Dabarbie’s voice in his latest song. This move has sparked controversy, especially given the past allegations made by Nickie against the singer.

Previously, Nickie Dabarbie accused Mayorkun of attempting to use her for rituals and spiking her drink—allegations that Mayorkun vehemently denied, asserting that he had never met her before. Despite these serious accusations, Mayorkun recently teased a new song featuring Nickie’s voice, which has led to significant backlash on social media.

Some social media users have criticised Mayorkun’s decision, suggesting it might not sit well with Nickie. There is also speculation among some fans that the entire situation might be a publicity stunt.

A user, “eddyson31_,” commented, “You dey sue person for calling you out but you’re using her voice to make music, so what if she sues for using her voice?” Another user, “smallestbarber,” added, “Don’t even fight with an artist; they will use you in their song eventually.”

“official_smattkinzy” speculated about the situation, stating, “I’m now suspecting that all this is PR. Abeg, my people, they say that girl dey for jail now, but no one knows which prison she dey or if someone has visited her in the prison.”

Other users shared similar sentiments, with “symplyjemmy” expressing disapproval: “This is not nice though; you could tell she wasn’t herself. Using her voice tune isn’t nice at all.” Meanwhile, “succefull_peterz_nation” remarked, “But Nickie Barbie should get correct royalty for this feature because her intro mad gan!”

Junior Pope’s Body Arrives in Hometown for Burial

The remains of Nollywood actor JohnPaul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, have arrived in his hometown of Ukehe in the Igbo-etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State. The burial ceremony is currently underway, with many Nollywood personalities in attendance.

The funeral mass is being officiated by Rt Rev Godfrey Onah, Bishop of Nsukka Catholic Diocese.

Junior Pope tragically passed away in April after the boat he was on capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a movie location.
