Gunmen reportedly invaded the Bmuko Community in the Dutse Baupma axis of the Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory, on Monday night, abducting four residents. According to a community resident named Mr. Isah, the gunmen arrived around 11:50 pm, targeting the home of Engineer Patrick and seizing his wife and brother, along with two others.

This incident follows previous attacks in the area, including the January kidnapping of 22 individuals and the tragic killing of a university student. Another resident, Isah, described the latest attack, noting the kidnappers’ significant numbers and their division into two groups during the operation.

Residents, alarmed by gunshots, sought help from security forces, but efforts to locate and rescue the abducted individuals proved challenging. Concerns about the lack of a police outpost in the community have been raised, underscoring the need for improved security measures.

While details are still emerging, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for confirmation at the time of reporting.
