Paul Onuachu delivered a stellar performance for Trabzonspor, securing a dramatic 4-2 comeback win against Gaziantep in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday. The Nigerian striker not only scored a hat-trick but also provided an assist during the match.
Onuachu’s impressive display adds to his remarkable season at Trabzonspor, where he has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 18 league appearances.
Sunday’s victory was a crucial one for Trabzonspor as it bolsters their hopes for qualification to the Europa League. Currently sitting in third place with 58 points, they are in contention alongside Istanbul Basaksehir (52 points) and Besiktas (51 points) for the Europa League spots.
Trabzonspor faced an uphill battle after Gaziantep took a 2-0 lead in the first half. However, Onuachu sparked the comeback with a goal in the 50th minute to make it 2-1.
The momentum shifted further in Trabzonspor’s favor when Onuachu assisted Enis Bardhi’s goal in the 65th minute, leveling the score.
