Mr Alaba Abey, the Returning Officer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Supare Akoko, ward 10 of Akoko Southwest Local Government in Ondo state, has been assassinated by unknown gunmen.
Abuja City Journal reports that the deceased was the Returning Office of the APC in the just concluded primary election that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the candidate of the ruling party in Ondo State
His death was confirmed on Sunday to newsmen by his elder brother, Samuel Abbey, FCA.
According to Abbey, the deceased was assassinated on Saturday night at about 9 pm in front of his house after returning from an outing.
