President Bola Tinubu has expressed his unwavering confidence in Nigerians, attributing it to his ability to make tough decisions on their behalf.

Speaking during a meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands in The Hague, Tinubu highlighted his administration’s resolve to introduce new policies aimed at long-term success, despite short-term challenges.

Since assuming office in 2023, Tinubu’s government has implemented various policies, including the removal of the petrol subsidy, floating of the naira, and an increase in electricity tariffs.

Asserting his commitment to the welfare of Nigerians, Tinubu emphasized the necessity of providing them with the tools needed for sustained prosperity.

“As a determined leader, I am prepared to make difficult decisions, even if they entail short-term pain, knowing they serve the long-term interests of our people,” Tinubu stated.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s economic performance, Tinubu praised the resilience of Nigerians and assured them of greater rewards, underscoring the country’s strengthened position in the global economy.

He concluded by reaffirming the imperative for leaders to prioritize decisions that benefit their nations, expressing readiness to embrace new opportunities for development in partnership with the Netherlands and other stakeholders.
