In collaboration with SpeechLogix and Zoom, MTN Nigeria Enterprise Business has introduced Meetings+, a video conferencing platform tailored for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
During the launch press conference in Lagos, Charles Okonkwo, MTN’s General Manager of Business Enterprise, announced the inauguration of Meetings+, highlighting its innovative features designed to meet the needs of Nigerian businesses.
Meetings+ operates on Zoom’s video conferencing platform, aligning with MTN’s strategic shift from a telecommunications company to a technology-focused entity. This initiative underscores MTN’s commitment to facilitating the digital transformation of Nigerian businesses.
Haitham El-Hanafi, SpeechLogix’s Head of Sales, emphasized the strategic nature of the collaboration, driven by the shared goal of addressing businesses’ evolving needs. He highlighted SpeechLogix’s expertise in innovative communication and collaboration modules, enhancing Meetings+’ functionality.
El-Hanafi also mentioned the economic ties between Canada and Nigeria, noting Nigeria’s importance as Canada’s second-largest trading partner in Africa. He expressed optimism about increasing Canadian investment in Nigeria and emphasized the alignment of Nigeria’s economic diversification policy with Canada’s priorities, particularly within the SME landscape.
