American superstar John Legend has branded former United States president Donald Trump as a “tried-and-true, dyed-in-the-wool racist.” Legend asserted that Trump has consistently exhibited racist tendencies, even predating his presidency, citing instances of barring black individuals from his properties in the past.
Legend further criticized Trump’s immigration policy, alleging that it reflects racial bias. He emphasized Trump’s belief in a genetic hierarchy of humanity, accusing him of racial determinism.
According to Legend, Trump’s history and statements reveal deep-seated racism, which undermines any claims of beneficial actions towards the black community. He dismissed Trump’s purported achievements for black people, asserting that Trump’s core beliefs are rooted in racism.
Legend’s remarks come amidst the upcoming U.S. presidential elections, where Trump will face incumbent Joe Biden of the Democratic Party. The election marks a significant rematch in American political history, with Trump representing the Republican Party.
