An Israeli drone strike in Southern Lebanon resulted in the death of a Hezbollah member, confirmed by both Lebanese security sources and the Israeli Army on Tuesday morning.
The strike targeted a car deep inside Southern Lebanon, eliminating Hussein Ali Azkul, a significant operative within Hezbollah’s Aerial Defense Unit in the region.
According to reports, Azkul played a key role in planning and executing attacks against Israel, and his elimination is expected to severely impact Hezbollah’s aerial capabilities.
The Israeli Army also reported the killing of another member of Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces’ Aerial Unit overnight.
Both Hezbollah and the Israeli Army confirmed the deaths of the fighters.
Tensions have been high between Lebanon and Israel, with daily firing along the border since the beginning of the Gaza war in October.
