Renowned actor Zack Orji recently opened up about his harrowing ordeal, revealing the necessity of undergoing two brain surgeries following a frightening collapse in his home.
Speaking in a recent interview with Channels Television, Orji recounted the traumatic incident that led to his surgeries. He disclosed being unconscious for approximately five hours after collapsing in his bathroom, emphasizing that divine providence played a crucial role in his survival.
Orji vividly described how he was discovered by a friend, Ahmed, who, upon receiving distress calls from concerned individuals unable to rouse Orji, promptly enlisted the help of another colleague, Benedict Johnson. It was Johnson who found Orji incapacitated on the floor, prompting an urgent rush to the hospital.
Recalling the aftermath of the surgeries, Orji shared the disconcerting experience of being unable to recognize visitors, including government officials and well-wishers, during his hospitalization. He credited his wife with aiding him in identifying those who came to offer support.
The actor revealed the complexity of his medical situation, explaining that despite the initial surgery on New Year’s Day to address blood clots in his brain, residual clots remained. Subsequently, a second surgery, performed by the same doctor, was necessary to fully remove the remaining clots and ensure his recovery.
Orji’s courageous revelation sheds light on the fragility of life and the resilience required to overcome such daunting health challenges. His journey serves as a testament to the importance of timely medical intervention and the unwavering support of loved ones during times of crisis.
